I grew up in Voorheesville, New York and attended the Voorheesville Central School District for both elementary and high school. Upon graduating, I attended St. John Fisher College where I earned my degree in Childhood and Special Education. I then continued my education at the University at Albany, and received my degree as a Literacy Specialist. Shortly after college, I was fortunate to have an experience where I was asked to serve as a long-term substitute in the district that I grew up in. I am so thrilled to be teaching first grade this year!
Some things I like to do outside of school include spending time with my family, traveling, arts and crafts, reading, swimming and exercising. I also love animals and have a dog named Hunter!
