Tracing lines, letters, through mazes, ect.

Coloring pictures-focusing on staying in the lines.

Outlining- by tracing around the outside of pictures in a coloring book.

Dot-to-dots

Checkers, Chess, Connect Four, Uno, Candyland, Eye Spy-games that require scanning a large area.

Word searches and cross word puzzles.

Cutting on a line-wide line progressing to narrow; straight, curvy and angular lines.

Drawing

Writing letters- ask classroom teacher for correct wording for letter formation.  Focus on staying on appropriate lines.

Copying from books, magazine or newspaper articles.

Jigsaw puzzles

Throwing a bean bag or ball to a person or at a target.

Alternating focus from far to near and near to far.

Marble run tracking games

Having the child use their index finger to track words in a story that you are reading to them.

Have child search a paragraph for a given letter, CVC word or letter combination.
