Class Dojo is a behavior tool I use in my classroom. It is a website that allows teachers to give students immediate feedback on their behaviors, both positive and negative. Students get very excited when they are rewarded points, which is on the entire school day. One of the best things about this program is that students encourage eachother to do their job and cheer them on. There is also an app, or you can use the computer to log in and see your childs points. Again, this is for both positive and negative behavior.
Another great thing about this program is that it allows me to send you "a behavior and skills report" each week. Although this isn't necessary because you can log in on a daily or hourly basis to check your child's behavior. This app also allow me to send out important group messages. I use this as a major source of communication, which allows me to send and receive messages instantly on my phone and computer. My hope is that this will you and I closer together and in better communication so that your child can have a successful year in 3rd grade. You also have an opportunity to see the progress of your child on a week to week basis.
Students are also able to access their account and use a special code so that they can customize their monster avatars on their own!
