First Grade Curriculum

It's FUN to be in First Grade!

The goal of the Media Center in first grade is to review library rules and procedures and to continue to expose your children to quality literature, while at the same time, introducing exciting new literacy skills in a meaningful and contextual manner.  You children will learn about how libraries organize media and how to conduct basic searches for materials.  Examples of lessons that will be covered include alphabetical order, fiction vs nonfiction, author name form, basic fiction call numbers, and much, much more!
