E.S.L. Teacher Job Description and Duties
· Screens students for E.L.L. program following CR-Part 154 Regulations
· Instructs E.L.L.s in a variety of academic and instructional settings
· Acts as a liaison between building staff and parents/guardians
· Administers annual assessments using N.Y.S.E.S.L.A.T.
· Implements directives from The Office of Bilingual Education
· Collect, maintains and uses data need for CR-154 application
· Provides best practice techniques for staff through O.P.D.
· Acts as student advocate for E.L.L.s
· Modifies and adapts material, assignments and assessments for E.L.L.s
· Coordinates bilingual psychological/educational testing as needed
· Acts as translators when able or as foreign language resources
· Coordinates district-wide E.L.L. Program Open House
