Junior High Health Class

 
Junior High Health class is for all students in grade seven.  The class meets everyday for one semester as mandated by New York State Department of Education. 



Self-Management
Relationship Management
Stress Management
Communication
Planning and Goal Setting
Decision Making
Advocacy

Students will learn and practice the above skills throughout the semester.  In class activities are learner-centered and may include role-play scenarios, reflection journals, demonstrations, guest speakers, and some traditional workbook or textbook lessons. 






We will discuss how media influences our lives and how this directly relates to many of our decisions, choices, and behaviors.  Other factors affecting one's health are also covered, including the environment and heredity.
