Progress Reports
Wednesday, September 3, 2014

Dear Parents:

I wanted to let you know about some valuable grade information for you about your child.  I send home progress reports with your student every three weeks during the school year; one mid-marking period and one at the end of the marking period which tells what your child’s grade will be for that marking period.

These progress reports indicate your child’s grade, how many assignments they missed and even how many percentage points your child did not earn because of missing assignments.  Your student can always turn in missing homework, labs or even tests any time during that marking period.  There are also extra credit sheets offered before every test.  If your student does the extra credit, then they earn five points towards their test grade.

Please include your email address below and I will be happy to send out an email letting you know that progress reports have been handed out to your student.  Please save this upper half of this letter as your own reference.  If you have any question about my grading policy, please do not hesitate to call me at 594-3341, ext. 3917 or email me at sdarlow@gstboces.org.
