Daric—a gold coin of the Persian Empire. The Persians used it to create a money system.
Zoroastrianism—a religion based on the teachings of a man named Zoroaster, who lived in Persia around 600B.C.
Revolt—a fight or struggle against a ruler or government.
Maritime—living near the sea.
Myth—a type of legend or story.
Epic—having to do with a long poem or story.
Democracy—a kind of government that is run by the people.
Philosophy—the study of life, ideas, values, and knowledge.
