My homeroom students have the following schedule:

Homeroom/Special Area Classes   The children start the day with their homeroom teacher.  Attendance is taken, free breakfast is available to all students, and elementary announcements take place.  Then, the children go to their encore classes.  We are on a six-day schedule; the children know to list their schedules in their planners so they know when to have sneakers for P.E.   Spanish is one of the classes this year.

R.T.I.  Children will be receiving extra help, as needed, in small groups, mainly in English Language Arts, Reading and Math.  Some children will be receiving enrichment at this time.

Reading  - Mrs. Green   The children have Reader Response Journals; they will be reading independently 3 days/week and have a set of questions to answer for each chapter read.  We will read total group one day and they will "buddy read" one day.  We will also be working on Reading skills throughout the year.

Math - Mrs. Thomas

Science - Mrs. Thomas

Lunch/Recess

E.L.A.   Mrs. Green     We work on Spelling, Grammar, Mechanics/Punctuation and writing during this time.

Social Studies - Mrs. Green

Students are dismissed at 3:00.
