It was wonderful seeing so many of you at our Open House! I enjoyed meeting the students! I look forward to getting to know all of you and to making this a memorable and fun experience for your child.

     This website will be updated periodically with information about what is happening in our classroom and school wide events as well. It is a work in progress! If you think of something that would be helpful and you would like to see it added let me know!

    Some parents comment that their child doesn't tell them anything about our day. It may help to give them time to "decompress" when they first get home. Additionally, some parents have gotten better answers when they ask specific questions.... "What special did you go to today?" "What did you do on  the playground?" "What was your favorite book that Mrs. Barnstead read today?" 

    Finally, a well rested child is a happy child. Please be sure that your child goes to bed on time or earlier than normal. Kindergarten is a brand new experience! The extra energy they have from being well rested will make a huge difference in their day!
