Hello! My name is Lisa Barnstead. I love teaching kindergarten and all of the joys and challenges that come with working with our littlest learners. Unbelievably, this is my 22nd year of teaching. The first 11 years I taught for the Greece Central School district, outside of Rochester. I taught 8 years of first grade and 3 in kindergarten. When we needed to relocate for my husband's job, I was blessed to be hired by this district and have been at Big Flats in kindergarten ever since.

    I have 3 children of my own. Laura is entering high school, Katelyn is beginning middle school and Douglas is in 3rd grade. We are big animal lovers and have quite a menagerie at home. We have a dog, 3 cats, 2 bunnies, 2 leopard geckos and some fish. All of the animals have unique personalities! I bet I'll have some very interesting stories to tell about them this year.
