About Me!

Hello All!

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you... My name is Lisa Strong, and I am a native of Elmira, NY.  I graduated from Southside High School in 2003, and then continued my education at SUNY Fredonia, graduating in 2007.  I have a Bachelors of Science in Education degree and am certified to teach grades 1 through 6.  I student taught in 2nd grade at Hendy Elementary and 5th grade at Diven Elementary, both in the Elmira City School District.  I also spent a year substituting at various buildings throughout that district before landing a permanent position with the Elmira Heights District in 2008.  In 2011, I graduated from Elmira College with my Masters Degree in Childhood Education.  I have been a part of the second grade team here at Cohen since I joined the staff in 2008, and I thank my lucky stars every single day for such an amazing opportunity!  I love every part of my job - the curriculum, the wonderful people I work with, and the children that walk through my classroom door each morning.  My goal is to make each student's experience in my classroom fun, successful, and memorable!  Please feel free to send me an email if you have any questions about myself or my philosophies.  You may use the link to the right of this page.

Thanks for visiting!
