MEET YOUR TEACHER

Ryan Cormier has been teaching at Liberty Middle School since 2008. He has also taught at Liberty Elementary School and Liberty High School. He graduated from SUNY New Paltz in 2001 with a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education and in 2006 he received his Master's Degree in Painting, also from SUNY New Paltz. Mr. Cormier not only teaches but is also a professional artist who shows and sells his work and who paints mostly in acrylic paint and sometimes oil. Some of the themes he explores in his artwork include the future, the media, technology, science, war, religion, and conspiracy theories as well as nature scenes.  In addition to his artistic pursuits Mr. Cormier also enjoys camping, hunting, hiking,running, exercising, Qi Gong (an ancient Chinese form of stretching and deep breathing exercises), meditation, and Aikido (a Japanese form of martial arts).
