· Reading Quizzes (at least three per marking period).
· Informal Writing Assignments (three or four per marking period, checked for completion).
· Formal Writing Assignments (two per marking period, word-processed, graded on structure, development, mechanics and tone). Time provided for editing/drafting.

· Mid-term and Final – these are based on class material, but also on English 11 Regents format, so that students are familiar with the test before entering 11th grade.

· Please check my website, which can be accessed through the district website (www.newfieldschools.org) for updates on English 10 units, tests and/or writing assignments.
