Business Law
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
This course will emphasize the relations of business law to an individual’s personal and occupational life. Applications of laws as they affect the individual are featured.
CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS: Everyone is to be on time and prepared for class.
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
3 ringed-binder with 5 tab dividers: (1-Calendars, 2-Notes/handouts, 3-Homework, 4-Guest Speakers, 5-Misc), CALCULATOR, paper, and pencil are also needed for class.
GRADING PROCEDURES:
The student’s grade will be based on quizzes, tests, homework and projects as follows:
40% Tests (projects may also count as a test grade)
60% Homework, class work, activities, binder check
Students who successfully complete this class will be able to:
- Define what law is and explain why laws are needed.
- Better understanding of the world in which they live.
- Expand their vocabularies and sharpen their abilities to think analytically and systematically.
- Learn what is right and wrong conduct in business and society, in the light of applicable law.
- Be better equipped than most citizens to recognize legal problems and to utilize professional counsel.
