You have to understand that responding to these posts will not happen for a couple of reasons. First these will fill up the guestbook and they do take time to respond. If is just to say hi an email is better as I can respond quickly and save space on the guest book for more involved messages. I hope everyone understand. Mr. Spencer ---- Original Message ---- hey |

The larger school can be hard espically until you get into the higher grades. Mavis is doing well, my data shows the classes are getting faster each year. I started keyboarding halfway through the year with the 2nd grade students to give them a head start for next year. I have heard that the Micro Type program is not liked by many students. Have a nice summer. Mr. Spencer ---- Original Message ---- Hey Mr. Spencer its Alex again, how have classes gone for you this year? My classes have been great and the high school is huge but I kind of miss the little school I see that you have made some positive changes to your webpage here and I wanted to ask how Mavis is going I would love to do Mavis instead of the program we do at our school. Yeah, no spell cheek LOL in the guest book. The videos are a nice heads up for how the program works especially the introduction on how the program works. I have been reviewing the CD and was surprised that is not just a simple stand in front of a green screen to get the different backgrounds. It isn't hard but there are about four steps. I try to keep the site interesting but it takes a little work. Mr. Spencer |

Hi Dakota, the school decided to offer ToolBoxPro to all the teachers just last week. The teachers listed are the ones that thought they might want to have a ToolBoxPro site of their own. The site can offer a lot if you are a classroom teacher: such as home assignments, schedules, access for parents to know supplies the students need, and they can even assign a student a password for them to log in and take tests. I simply use it as a webpage to arrange sites sites for student s to get help in different subjects, give access to self help videos and keep in touch with students even after you leave the building. I did a major change to the format, thought it needed a facelift. The larger this beast get the more time it takes to maintain. Please don’t forget to let me know if a site doesn’t work. I have been playing about with Movie Maker and you will find some of my projects on this site as well as some movies students as have done. Keep leaving messages and I will try to post more frequently. Because of space I can not post all entries. If you are just leaving a message like " Hi Mr. Spencer " it will not be posted not because I don't want to hear from you but because the posting page will get to filled up. Hi Megan, to get PowerPoint you have to buy it. It comes with Mircosoft Office when you buy it along with Word, Excel etc. It is not cheap but it would be a good investment if your parent could afford it. Here is link to Newegg.com that offers it about 90 dollars and you can install it on 3 computers. It is considered the Home and Student Version.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116135 There is another option: It is called Open Office. It is sort of free, but you have become a memeber ~ Get 3 Years Unlimited Software Download & Support ONLY $11.98/year Have your parent look at this as it is an option. http://www.openofficedownload.org/ver1a/index.php?se=AffID-210&affid=210&googleid=1041572243

Comments: I have been getting a few comments in the guestbook from students that are putting in countries as their location, like Mexico, Brazil etc. Although I would be very excited that my website had made it all the way to these countries I am having doubts. I would rather have you put in locations that are really from where you are. I appreciate all the questions and comments from all of you. |

Hi Tommy, both Mavis Beacon and Bryce 6.0 are programs that are only installed on the computers at our school and I would not be able to link to them. All the sites on my site are links to Internet sites, except the games I made -Technology PowerPoint Projects |

hi i would like if you would add more fun stuff to toolboxpro im not trying to tell you how to run your web site Hi Jake, fining good web sites can take a while and not always successful. I am very careful with what I put on here because I want the sites to be interesting, educational and fun. I try to avoid web sites that are heavy with advertisements. I encourage anyone who has found any interesting sites to email them to me for review. Thank you for visiting my site. |

Hi Nathan from Japan ? WOW April 20,2009 - I checked the mind game section and they seem to be working. You have to remember that these are only links to Internet sites and I do not have any control over them if they are working, only in assureing that the link is right. I did create from scratch the powerpoint games found under -Technology PowerPoint Projects |

Comments: ---- Original Message ---- Hi Emily, I am really glad you like computer class. Mavis is a program the school bought. All the sites on Toolboxpro are Internet sites that I have found that I thought students would like. I think you can buy Mavis for pretty cheap, like 20 bucks or so. It would be a little different than the one we use in school because it would be for a home computer. Mr. Spencer
