Scheduling
5th and 6th Grade
Our 5th and 6th graders follow a self-contained teaching model, this means that they stay will the same teacher all day. They engage in Physical Education every other day, and then take part in Art, Music, or Libray opposite P.E. for 13 weeks. These students have the opportunity to participate in Band and/or chorus.
Our 5th Grade Team: Mrs. MacWhinnie, Mrs. Plonski, Mrs. Cron, Mr. Traub, and Mrs. Harkness.
Our 6th Grade Team: Ms. Farr, Mrs. Hogan, Mrs. J. Robinson, Mrs. T. Robinson, Mr. Croft, and Mr. Myers.
7th and 8th Grade
Our 7th and 8th graders have a different teacher for each class.
7th Grade Team: Ms. Bishop-ELA, Mr. Zwick-Social Studies, Mr. Munn-Science, Ms. McEwen-Math, Mr. Jeff Mastrantuono-Technology
8th Grade Team: Ms. Witman-ELA, Mr. Holleran-Social Studies, Ms. Edwards-Science, Ms. Murray-Math, Ms. Russell-Spanish
They take P.E. every other day, and then take 21st Century Skills, Art, or Health opposite P.E. for 13 weeks.
They also have the opportunity to take electives, they are able to select them about a month before the trimester changes.
All 7th grade students take Technology all year.
All 8th grade students take Spanish all year.
8th Grade to 9th Grade
In the Spring we host a Parent Information Night. At this event, we share the different paths students can take to graduate high school as well as present on High School Graduation Requirements. We then work on scheduling for 8th graders going into 9th grade.
