Career Exploration

At Waverly Middle School we value Career and College Exploration. We want our students to have knowledge of a number of careers and what paths they have available to them. In order to do that we work with Ryan Alo, the High School's Assistant Principal in charge of Work Based Learning to provide career exploration to students.

Additionally we host a career day for students in 5th-8th grade where we bring in members of the community to discuss their careers and have conversations with students. We also develop Career Plans annually for students in 6th-8th grade to help them reflect on their experiences, interests, abilities, and more in an effort to explore career possibilities and options.

Choices 360:

This year, the Middle and High School have purchased a Career Program in order to continue to develop our Career Exploration Program. The program is titled Choices360 and allows students to create a career profile, take career assesments in order to find careers that align with their interests, create their Career Plan as required by NYS and more. Please e-mail your child's school counselor to find out more.
