We (the first grade teachers) would like to welcome you and your child to the first grade. We have planned a full and exciting year for your child and hope that he/she will find first grade rewarding and exciting. We do begin class work on the first day of school. Your child will be responsible for being prepared. Following is a list of supplies your child will need the first day and throughout the year.

4-6 Pencils – check with your child to replenish as needed

Scissors

TWISTABLE Crayons (a box of 16 maximum) – check with your child to replenish as needed - if possible, put name on each one

2-3 Large Glue Sticks (each month) – please no liquid glue

1 Supply Box to keep all materials in (2” high or less or they will not fit in the desk)

1 Folder - with pockets and three-hole punched

1 Change Holder/Wallet to keep lunch money in

1 Large Box of tissue

1 Set of headphones in a large plastic baggie

1 Art Shirt
