I am in my fifteenth year of teaching music.  I have a bachelor's degree in Music Education and Music Performance with a dual primary in flute and voice from Ohio Northern University.  I hold a master's degree in Education Administration from Grand Canyon University and additional graduate credits in Music from Ithaca College and Biomechanics and Ergonomics from Empire State Univeristy.

I was inducted into Who's Who Among American Educators in 2008.  I am a member of Phi Kappa Phi (Academic Honoary Fraternity), Alpha Lambda Delta (Academic Honorary Fraternity for Women) and Kappa Delta Pi (Education Honarary Frtaternity).

I have directed the Newfield Elementary Chorus for eleven years and was named a "Director of Note" for New York State (one of 11 directors honored nationwide) by Choral Director Magazine in 2011.

The elementary music program was honored as a "Best Communities for Music Education in the United States" in 2013, and in 2010.  One of five elementary schools nationwide to receive the honor and the only elementary school to receive the honor in New York State.  The district was named to the Best Communities list in 2009.
