Final Lesson: Composing with the Fibonacci Series

Today you will complete a composition using Scorio. The composition should use the Fibonacci Series and it should be rhythmically correct.  Remember the Fibonacci Series is 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, etc.

You will be using the Fibonacci numbers as they relate to the C Major scale, sol-feg, and scale degrees.

Example:
1=Do C
2=Re D
3=Mi  E
5=Sol G
8=Do C

Use the Scorio keyboard to input your song and you will see letter names for each note you choose. This is a fail-proof way to make certain that you are using Do, Re, Mi, Sol and Do only (C, D, E, G, and C).

1. Use the Scorio link to enter the Scorio site.
2. Click Note Editor.
3. Change the Composer name by clicking on it and entering your name.
4. Change the Title.
5. Enter your notes for the composition.
6. You can change the duration by clicking on the note value chart at the top of the score.
7. If you want to delete a note, click on it and press the red x.
8. If you want to delete a section click and drag a box around the section you want to delete (the notes should turn blue) then click the red x.
9. Your composition should be at least 8 bars long.
