Rhythm Review for You!!!

Today's lesson has two parts. Each should take you 20 minutes to complete.

Part I:
Close Reading of Musical Images

Read my wiki by clicking on the puzzle piece below.  Close reading is important and can help you add great detail to answers on tests or quizzes, or help you be thorough when writing about what you have read.

After you have read my wiki explaining close reading, comment on the musical image you see.  Please, do not comment "It's neat", or "I like it". Those are generic comments.  Make your comment a quality comment! Say something like "I know the people in this picture are from _______ because", or "I know the names of some of the instruments in this picture, they are _______" or, "I like the clothing in this picture. The clothing gives me a clue as to where these people are from because____".

When you have entered your comment, come back to this lesson and complete the second portion.

Part II:

Rhythm Review

This lesson will review the basics of rhythm, note duration and rest duration, dots and ties.
This lesson should also take about 20 minutes. The lesson tutorials are very quick. When you have finished all three, notes, rests, and dots and ties, you can use the next two game links to practice your rhythm skills. One is a rhythm dicatation game, the other is a fraction and musical note game.

Use these sites to look at how notes are related from the whole note to the thirty-second note.
