Objectives of the Spanish III Course:
In Spanish III, students will continue objectives from Spanish II in an advanced mode. Students will be able to…
⇒use enriched vocabulary under each topic in preparation for the Regents exam
⇒ handle more advanced grammar such as the subjunctive and compound tenses
⇒ speak persuasively and spontaneously on a variety of topics (24 points on Regents exam)
⇒ read and comprehend long passages and short passages/ads and answer questions on them (30 points on Regents exam)
⇒ listen for comprehension (30 points on Regents exam)
⇒write 100 word essays on all topics in preparation for the Regents exam (16 points on Regents exam)
***All students in Spanish III classes will take a state Regents exam at the end of the year. Students must pass both the class and the Regents exam in order to receive credit for the course. ***
