Second Grade Homework

    Please be aware, at Ridge Road School second grader students have homework Monday through Thursday. I do not give homework over the weekend. Every night your child should be doing the following assignments:
     1) 15 minutes of nightly reading
         Please record this on the form, sign and return the yellow folder the last day of the month for Lunch Bunch.
     2) Study the addition and subtraction math facts
   
     ***A couple times throughout the year your child will also have a special class project to complete for homework.

      This creates habits that will make your child a successful student for many years to come. As a reward, those students who have done their reading every day get to enjoy a special "Lunch Bunch" time with me. We eat in our classroom and watch cartoons at the end of the month. Hopefully our whole class will be there!

     At the end of the school year, students who have done their reading every day and joined us for every Lunch Bunch are awarded a special reading medal for all their hard work.
