Welcome to Career & Financial Management!

Description:  The half-year course introduces students to the world of Business.  We will explore four key areas (below) which will provide students with a better understanding of the basic components of a Business and how they, as individuals, play a vital role in our economy.  Guest speakers from a variety of Business avenues will share their career experiences.  Students will also take part in the Stock Market Game, in which they will learn to buy and trade stocks in a simulated atmosphere, while competing with other students across New York State.

  The skills and methods used to teach this class supports all instructional areas, the NYS Learning Standards for Career Development and Occupational Studies, and the SCANS skills.
