Description:  This exciting full-year course offers students hands-on workbook and computer experiences to learn the complete accounting cycle for a sole proprietorship, partnership and a corporation, including service and merchandising businesses.

 

 

Learning Objectives:

 

 

  • Analysis of source documents to determine appropriate accounts to debit and credit
  • Journalize and post source documents to increase general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts both manually and automated
  • Prepare financial statements for all 3 types of business
  • Interpret information on a financial statement to make sound business decisions
  • Investigate Fortune 500 companies to determine individual wealth and successes
  • Understand the ethics involved in Accounting
  • Identify and discuss career options in the Accounting field
